Sharks Supports Channel Relay Swim Team

Rhian Fuge, along with five other ladies, recently completed a six-person, all-female relay swim across the channel. They completed the swim in 13 hours 57 minutes. The ladies started their swim at 1 am on the last day of their window having waited a week for calm seas.  They swam an hour at a time each and, as Rhian was the second swimmer, she did three hours in total and was fortunate enough to be the one to land in France. Alongside them for part of the route was Sarah Thomas on her third crossing on her epic 4 leg swim!

Rhian and the ladies raised nearly £12,000 for the British Heart Foundation. Sharks Swim & Triathlon was pleased to support the team by providing swimming costumes and accessories to enable them to complete the swim.
